I can't believe it has been one year since I met the little Oreo. I love him so much!
We celebrated his first year of life (7/08/09) at his "MooMa's" house (Grandma on his Dad's side). You know how people preface a bragging sentence with "not to brag or anything but..." well, I'm not one of those people. So, to completely and shamelessly brag: Xander had a Family Only party. Not a family and the people we call family party, an actual blood related Family Party. Guess who made the singularly exceptional non-blood related cut?! The one and only Auntie Sarah! That's right!!!!! :) I was very honored to be invited and take part in such a special day with such a wonderful family.
Karley made a delicious and exquisitely decorated cake with cars sitting on an "X" street. The stoplight in the middle had a wick on top as his candle. Yes, she stayed up until 3am finishing it all.
Some of her family came out from Washington to celebrate.
Her Mom, Dad, and 2 sisters (out of 7 siblings) Marcy & Casey.

This will be the last monthly love-blog on Xander. Sad! Of course I'll keep posting blogs about him, but not every month anymore. It was just a first year thing.
So, in keeping with tradition and Auntie-Obsession....
12 Things I LOVE about Xander:
1.He doesn't just make me smile, he makes me beam!
1.He doesn't just make me smile, he makes me beam!
(Kar's Mom & Dad on the subway. After 30+ yrs they still have googly eyes for each other!)
7. The messiest he'd get when given the right of way to his cake, was just a bit of frosting on his face, nothing else. He refused to jump right in, no matter how much coercing we did. In fact he was a bit annoyed and wouldn't even eat it. Yet give this kid some meat and he'll be bathing in it in under a minute. Can you say Jamaican?
8. He has a tooth filled grin that could turn even Scrooge's frown upside down.9. He plays the "squeeze-face" game with me and look likes a 1/2 black version of Bugs Bunny when his 2 front teeth show.
10. He loves his Mommy and Daddy SO much.
(Who wouldn't?! They are such doting parents who always put him first.)
