A quick snippet of the end of my day....
Quiet / Wind Down Time before Dinner:
Hayden sat at the table doing a sixty three piece puzzle. By himself! He LOVES puzzles and is wayyyyy above par as far as putting them together goes. A sixty three piece puzzle is made for ages six and up. He's three, by the way. Which is why someone got this particular Pirate Ship puzzle for Jasper, who is six. Only Hayden has fully adopted it, because apparently the twenty four and thirty six piece ones he recently got just aren't cutting it anymore. He put the puzzle together with much effort and concentration (and refusals of any help), while singing "Peanut! Peanut Butter! ...And JELLY!" the entire time. That kid is happiness on legs.
Jasper sat next to Hayden making up his own Chess game. Drawing the pieces and cutting them out and figuring out how to get them to stand up on the board he would create next. All the pieces were Halloween themed. An Ogre Castle, a Vampire Knight, a Witch Queen, a Black Cat Pawn, a Mad Scientist King, etc. Not one to be outdone by his brother's multi-tasking, Jasper made up his own original jokes while he worked...
