This one's for the Roomies

I've had my share of roommates over the past 6yrs....

There was the one who asked me to move out after I threw up on her couch (and the missionaries sitting on it) to save myself from choking....

There was the married couple and atheist boyfriend who I was madly in love with and loved to be mad with.....

There was the Mormon one who had every right & reason to hate me considering our thin walls.....

There was the co-worker who had great taste in clothes, make-up, and men but couldn't budget money or time to save her life.....

And then there was me and only me in my very first apartment all to myself. I'm far from being the perfect roommate. While I'm really easy to live with I can also be really hard to live with, and I know it! Finding the right roommate compatibility is rare and precious, especially if you're not tied by the bond of love & marriage. So, I decided I'd try living with myself for awhile and see how it went. And it was awesome. However, a move to NYC and two more solo apartments later, and the ever increasing rent prices had me reverting to my roommate days.

There was the Life Coach who successfully aided the lives of many but couldn't get a grip on her own desires or needs....

There was the friend and who turned out to not really be one and the stranger who turned into a friend....

And now there are the two who bring no drama, no sorrow, no missed payments, no lessons needed on how to use a sponge, no complaints whatsoever. They bring me joy, comfort, laughter, friendship, and the happiness of knowing when I walk in the door I'm coming home to peace and solace. I'm coming home to family.

Here's to my Roomies, Katie and Sara, the BEST roommates I could have wished for (and did!)!!!!! I love you girls!!!!
