Afterparty

Now that Amaya is all Graduated and has a year off to apply to Law Schools and enjoy herself, she has decided to move to New York City and be close to me!!!!!!

But first....a CELEBRATION!
6/14/2009 Bachelor[ette]'s Degree Holder

Therefor, the Grad Party was also a bittersweet Farewell.
(In 25yrs, she has never lived outside her hometown. BIG move.)
Her Mom went ALL OUT.
She put together the most extravagant spread you can possibly imagine: Steak, Salmon, 3 different pasta dishes, Polenta, veggies, 4 cheesecakes, 2 chocolate moose, dips, cheeses, appetizers, drinks, and much more that I can't even remember. Everything was HOME MADE over the course of two days.
Except for a lemon poppy seed cake that was custom ordered and iced simply with: "Finally". Yes, really. ;)
It was the most delicious food I've ever tasted and I happily took home leftovers to continue to eat it throughout the week.

The party was a smash hit, and numerous friends and loved ones came to congratulate Amaya and wish her well. I hardly saw her.
Good thing there are **UH-mazing** pictures to prove I was there!
Two of my Favorites!
(Wonder-Mom of Four-& personal idol--Val, & BFF/Cousin)

Gorgeous Girls (Amaya, Hannah, Mia, Hayley, Me)

Instead, I spent time with my extended family (on my Ex-boyfriend's side), playing ALL day with my nieces and nephew. Hide and Seek is certainly more intense in 4 inch heels! :)
Danny (9), Hayley(7), Hannah (7), Mia (5)

Hay & I are Trouble Lovers, but we behave well in public ;)

LoLo (Hannah) is my Love Bug

Deep in conversation

It was a great day.
